The Landmark Sales Cheat Sheet

Who you're being on the call matters more than what you say on the call.

Before Every Call

3-Question Reset

  • What story am I already telling about this person? Name it. Set it aside.
  • What do I actually want FOR them — not just from them? Get clear.
  • What's one declaration I can make? Commit to something real.
On the Call

Ask One More Question

  • "What's made this a priority right now?"
  • "What happens if nothing changes in 6 months?"
  • "What have you already tried?"
  • Then shut up. Let them talk. Really listen.

"Prospects don't buy the best product. They buy the person they trust most."

👂

Already-Always Listening

You're not hearing them. You're hearing your filter. Stop predicting. Start listening like it's the first time.

🔁

Your Racket

If your complaint is "people don't see my value" — you'll keep proving it right. See the story. Drop it. Choose differently.

🗣️

Declare, Don't Pitch

"I'm committed to getting your business set up so you never lose another lead." That's a declaration. It creates certainty.

Objection Handler — The Landmark Way

Hear the real thing under the safe thing

"I need to think about it." "What part would be most helpful to think through together right now?"
"It's too expensive." "Compared to what? What's the cost of the problem you're solving?"
"I'm already working with someone." "What's working great? What's still missing?" — then actually listen.
"Now's not a good time." "When would be? I'll put it on the calendar right now."
Silence / vague response Don't fill it. Say: "Take your time." Then wait. Silence is not a no.
Closing Move

Make a Promise. Keep It.

End every call with a specific promise:

"I'm sending you [X] by [specific time]."

Then do it. On time. Every time. This alone separates you from 90% of salespeople.

The Real Question They're Asking

Can I trust this person?

Not: "Is this the best deal?"
Not: "Is this the cheapest?"

Trust. That's the whole game. You build it by showing up clean, listening fully, and doing what you said.
